Trends and Innovations Awards
On September 24, 2009, Homeward will recognize members of the homeless services community for outstanding achievement. Awards will be given to organizations and individuals who have gone above and beyond to further the goals of the Ten Year Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness.

Steve Neathery Award
Given in memory of Steve Neathery (a founding member of Homeward’s board of directors and early champion of Central Intake) to an individual or family that has successfully overcome homelessness and contributes to the ability of others to make the same transition.
• Certificate of Recognition, $1,000 gift towards education to recipient, $1,000 gift to the agency or program of the recipient’s choice that he/she feels had the biggest supportive impact on their journey to stability
Outstanding Business or Community Partner
Small or large business or community partner (such as a school or group) that has demonstrated a commitment to addressing the needs of people experiencing homelessness.

Innovation in Homeless Services Provision
Recognizing an agency that has demonstrated innovation and creativity in addressing the needs of people experiencing homelessness, in alignment with the goals of the Ten Year Plan.
• Certificate of Recognition
Excellence in Case Management - Private Sector
Case manager in a private nonprofit agency who works to raise the bar or set the standard in their work to prevent or end homelessness for his/her clients.
• Certificate of Recognition, $100 gift card
Randall Hicks Award - Excellence in Case Management - Public Sector
Given in memory of Randall Hicks, the first recipient of this award in May 2007, to a case manager in a public agency who works to raise the bar or set the standard in their work to prevent or end homelessness for his/her clients.
• Certificate of Recognition, $100 gift card
Outstanding Board Member or Volunteer
Representative on a board of directors of a nonprofit agency or volunteer for homeless service agency who has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and creativity in their work as a board member or volunteer.
